Cats.

Just why, why oh why would anybody want one of these these things.

First let me clear something up I have nothing against cat owners, nor even the cats themselves. It's their disgusting habbits that get me; vomit, hairballs, feces on the carpet because the mangy critter is to lazy to move the 6inches more to its litter basket.

My Flat mate has "adopted" a cat from a couple who were forced to give it up due to havin a new born baby. Fair enough but what they neglected to inform us of is that it NEVER shuts up and is allergic to everything.
Cornflake as it is so innocently called even went so far as to cough up not one but two of the most vile hairballs i have ever seen, I swear it deliberately sat in my bed before starting to ejecting the offending items from its self, thankfuly I managed to get it off the bed.
For those of you who have never seen a cat cough a hairball watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdrA61v_xcY

What youtube can't inform you of is the smell. It has to be the absolute worst smell I have ever smelt come from anything...EVER

This is the single biggest reason why cats are worth a rant, Hairballs are disgusting.

Farnham Prices

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the town of Farham, it is located in Surrey about 4 miles from Aldershot and 40 miles south west of London and has a very wealthy demographic, it is a commuter town with many inhabitants working in or around London.
It is also a town that claims to be supportive and proud of its student population.

Farnham is home to the largest campus of the University for the Creative Arts, which I'm sure will feature here at some point, but for now this rant is about the astronomical cost of living for which Farnham is notorious.

According to an un-named UCA Student Union source, as of 2008 Farnham became one of the most expensive Uni towns in the U.K, on par with anywhere London which receives a student loan of £6,990 compared to Farnham's standard Loan of £3,145. WHY???
Students studying at The Royal Holloway, Egham a mere 26miles away from Farnham recieve the London Loan and the cost of living is CHEAPER, where is the justice in that?

For a start RENT.
I have a good friend living in Rugby, he has a one bedroom flat to himself and pays £377 inc bills, this is the average cost of STUDENT accommodation in Farnham, and for that you dont get a whole flat but one room in a shared house, so you better like your flat mates because your going to spend alot of time with them.

Then there's the student necessity, ALCOHOL.
£3.10 for a pint of lager in a popular student haunt... your having a giraffe! the same pint back in Wolverhampton would cost any where up to a Pound less.
Apprently at one point many moons ago Farnham had a "Pound a Pint" student night but this towns pathetic consevative council of old dithering fools got rid of it... Thanks alot and after a good night what is the one thing craved by most?

FOOD which again because of the ridiculous council you can't get past Eleven Pm, not very good considering the fast food vans location (outside the Student Union).
The S.U shuts at 2am on a good night, the Fast food van at 11pm... Making the fast food van about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

The list goes on and on but for all this Farnham is still not the worst place in the world, better to live here than Aldershot.
